Lokojo - Not fewer than 21 aspirants are jostling for the governorship ticket of the All progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi State, reports Tribune
Among the aspirants are the senator representing Kogi West senatorial district, Dino Melaye and a former governor of the state, Abubakar Audu.

Melaye, who is from the Yoruba speaking area of the state, is said to have begun consultations with stakeholders within his domain on the need for the Yorubas in Kogi to produce the next governor.
Whoever picks the APC ticket is expected to face the current governor Idris Wada, who is seeking a second term in office.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is yet to announce a date for the election, which is billed for 2016.
