Ondo - Governor Olusegun Mimiko of Ondo State has forwarded the name of Olasinmi Akindele-Odunmbaku to the state House of Assembly for confirmation as a commissioner in the state, reports Daily Post
Akindele-Odunmbaku is the wife of James Odunmbaku, the Deputy State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State and a close ally of the national leader of APC, Bola Tinubu.
Governor Mimiko was elected under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Akindele-Odunmbaku is expected to be screened by members of the House on Tuesday.
The commissioner-nominee was also said to have aspired to become the candidate of the PDP in the last House of Representatives election in Akoko Northeast/Northwest Federal Constituency of the state but the party’s ticket was eventually given to Deni Akerele.
