Abuja - The chairman of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), Adamu Mu’azu, has appealed to the five defected PDP governors to return to the party, Vanguard reports.
The PDP chairman made the appeal when the Jigawa State governor, Sule Lamido visited him at the national secretariat on a solidarity visit.
Mu'azu asked the Jigawa governor, who was part of the aggrieved PDP governors that floated a parallel party known as the New PDP, to help him talk to his aggrieved colleagues who had defected to the All Progressive Congress (APC).
The defected governors include Rotimi Amaechi (Rivers), Aliyu Wamakko(Sokoto), Abdulfatai Ahmed (Kwara ), Murtala Nyako (Adamawa), and Rabiu Kwakwanso (Kano).
