Abuja - President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed that the
ongoing national identity registration cards will complement the permanent
voter cards, Punch reported.
The national identity cards are being carried out by the
National Identity Management Commission and are making sure that Nigerians who
want their votes to count should ensure they are captured under the new scheme.

Buhari was speaking at the Presidential Villa's Council
Chambers when registering for the scheme.
Currently, seven million Nigerians are captured in the
scheme so far and the number will be increasing soon.
The registration is said to be a continuous exercise and enrolment
centres will stay open across the country.
