17 September 2015, 13:10

Abeokuta - The attempt by the former Lagos State Governor, Bola Tinubu to extend the tentacle of influence to Ogun State may have pitched him against former President Olusegun Obasanjo, reports New Telegraph.

Obasanjo is said to be angry with Tinubu for nominating Wale Edun as the nominee from Ogun State in the proposed cabinet of President Muhammadu Buhari.

Edun was a Commissioner for Finance in Lagos State when Tinubu was governor of the state.

Sources say Obasanjo has called Tinubu and advised him to desist from pushing Edun as the Ogun State nominee.

He was said to have warned that Ogun people would not allow Tinubu to fill the slot of the state with somebody whose work and career were rooted in Lagos State.

Obasanjo and Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State have agreed to give the state’s slot in the cabinet to a former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Auditor, Bode Mustapha.
