Abeokuta - Contrary to insinuations that former President Olusegun Obasanjo has finally pitched his political tent with the All Progressives Congress, (APC), the former President has denied making such move, reports NewsDay.
Obasanjo on Monday said he was yet to formally join any of the political parties after dumping the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Obasanjo left the PDP six months ago.

Obasanjo, who spoke when he hosted a delegation from Kogi State led by Gov. Idris Wada at his Presidential Hilltop residence in Abeokuta, said despite his decision not to play active partisan politics anymore, he would continue to work with any Nigerian with good intentions and leadership traits.
He noted that he prefers to remain a statesman for now.
