Owerri - The Court of Appeal sitting has affirmed the victory of Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State in the April 11 governorship election, reports National Mirror.
The court on Thursday struck out the case filed by Emeka Ihedioha, the gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Imo State, challenging the dismissal of his petition by the Governorship Election Petition Tribunal.

In his ruling, Chairman of the Appeal Panel, Justice Jimmy Bada, said the case was dismissed on grounds of improper service of summons on the respondents, whose addresses were not properly listed.
The judge noted that the issue of service is fundamental in law and the rules of the Court of Appeal and therefore struck out the case for lack of merit.
