Akure - Few days after the defection of the Ondo State governor, Olusegun Mimiko to the Peoples Democratic Party, members of the state House of Assembly on Wednesday announced their defection to the PDP, reports ThisDay.
The defection which took place during the plenary session had 24 members of the Assembly signing the letter of intent to dump the Labour Party (LP ) for the PDP.

However, one member, Gbenga Edema representing Ilaje Constituency II has not indicated his intention to go along with his colleagues to the PDP as he did not signed the letter of intent.
With the defection of the lawmakers, PDP now has 24 members in the 26-member legislature.
