24 October 2014, 13:18

Akure - The Ondo State executive committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has said it was not against the decision of Governor Olusegun Mimiko, to join the party, reports Vanguard.

The committee members, who were responding the governor’s accusation that the party in the state lacked discipline, said what they are trying to avoid is a situation where a  landlord would become a tenant in his own house.

The committee in a statement signed by the state organising secretary of the party, Afolabi Akinbowale, said it was true that the state executives rushed to court to halt the decision of the national secretariat of the party as regards the dissolution of the State Working Committee.

He noted that Mimiko’s statement that the party leadership in the sate lack discipline was an attempt by the governor to "call dog a bad name so as to hang it".
