Abuja - There are indications that former Edo State Governor John Odigie-Oyegun will be appointed as the chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nation reports.
Oyegun is tipped to take over from the acting chairman, Bisi Akande at the party's national convention holding on Friday in Abuja.
Sources said the party leaders have asked ex-Bayelsa State Governor Timipre Sylva and a former Deputy National Chairman of the PDP, Dr. Sam Sam Jaja, to ditch their chairmanship ambitions, leaving former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Tom Ikimi as the only formidable opposition.
