Abuja - The suspended National secretary of the ruling People’s Democaratic Party(PDP), Olagunsoye Oyinlola and the Niger State Governor, Babangida Aliyu insist that they did not defect to the All Progressive Congress(APC).
According to Channels TV, Oyinlola said in a ststement released on Wednesday that he was committed to the PDP.
The spokesperson for the governor, Danladi Ndayebo said that Aliyu remained a member of the party.
Aliyu was part of the G-7, a group of seven governors who had grievances with the leadership of the ruling PDP, the governors include; Kwara State Governor, Ahmed Abdulfatah, Jigawa State Governor, Sule Lamido, Sokoto State, Aliyu Wamakko, the Governor of Kano State Rabiu Kwankwanso, Rivers State Governor, Chibuike Amaechi and Murtala Nyako of Adamawa State.
The G-7 governors defected on Tuesday.
