Umuahia - Supporters of the People Democratic Party (PDP) on Tuesday clashed with loyalists of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) during the inspection of election materials used in the April 11 governorship election in Abia State, reports Thisday.
Trouble started when APGA members accused PDP of frustrating the exercise by applying delay tactics.

After inspecting three bags out of over 20, the APGA team announced that it was through and should proceed with the fourth bag but the PDP team insisted that it was yet to complete its own inspection of the first three bags and insisted that APGA should wait for them.
The supporters of the two parties shouted, booed and harassed one another.
Fracas ensued as people from both parties struggled for the control of the bags of election materials.
