PDP Board of Trustees meet with Jonathan in Otuoke

Yenagoa - The Board of Trustees (BoT) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Sunday met with former President Goodluck Jonathan in his country home, Otuoke, Bayelsa State, reports Thisday

The meeting was convened to resolve the crisis rocking the state chapter of the party.

The meeting, which was held amid tight security was strictly restricted to members of the party’s BOT and on invitation.

Those in attendance at the meeting included the BoT acting Chairman, Bello Haliru Mohammed; the Secretary of the BoT, Senator Walid Jibril; the former Governor of Ebonyi State, Senator Sam Egwu; Dr. Cairo Ojuogboh and Senator Stella Omu.

Both the state governor, Seriake Dickson, and former governor, Diepreye Alamieyeseigha, were ordered out of the venue by the party leadership.

Also some uninvited prominent persons, including those who had already defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC), were walked out of the venue.
