Abuja - The National Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has nullified the Governorship Primary election in Ogun State.
The party said the election was not authorized.
This was disclosed in a press statement signed by Olisa Metuh, National Publicity Secretary of the party.

“The National Working Committee of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) has cancelled the conduct of the Governorship Primary election in Ogun state for the avoidance of doubt," he said.
"The National Working Committee (NWC) hereby states that it did not authorize any governorship primary in Ogun state. Consequently, any such exercise held in Ogun State is hereby declared null and void and of no effect,” the statement read.
It added that a new date will be communicated for the primaries.
