Abuja - The Leadership of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has warned state governors and other elected party officials to desist from endorsing candidates for any elective office, reports Premium Times.
The party said only its National Executive Committee (NEC) can officially endorse a candidate under the party's constitution.

Olisa Metuh, PDP’s National Publicity Secretary, in statement condemned the activities of some persons and groups already endorsing some aspirants for some positions
He noted that elected party officials at the state, local government and ward levels must not be involved in endorsing any candidate, as they must remain as unbiased umpires in the nomination process.
The party had some few days ago endorsed President Goodluck Jonathan as the party's sole candidate for the 2015 election, effectively shutting out other candidates.
