PDP blames Okorocha for exclusion of South East from Buhari’s kitchen cabinet

16 September 2015, 14:36

Owerri - The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the South East has blamed Gov. Rochas Okorocha of Imo State for the exclusion of South East in President Muhammadu Buhari’s kitchen cabinet, reports Thisday.

The All Progressives Congress in the zone had earlier blamed Okorocha for not doing enough to help members from the zone secure appointment in the administration of President Buhari.

The PDP in a statement by its South East Publicity Secretary, Regis Uwakwe, said the APC was right in the blame it apportioned to Okorocha.

He stated that despite the fact that there are two House of Representatives members from Imo State, the governor could not influence the emergence of any of them as principal officers.

He said his party agrees with the APC when it said  Okorocha should take responsibility for Igbo exclusion in the appointments rather than passing the buck to Ndigbo.

Regis said Okorocha must be hallucinating if he thinks that any signpost of APC would be left standing in 2019 in the entire South East, going by the total exclusion of the zone from the present administration.
