Lokoja - The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will on Tuesday hold ward, local government and state congresses in Kogi and Anambra States, reports New Telegraph.
The congresses in Kogi are to elect party delegates for the forthcoming governorship primaries while that of Anambra are to elect party executives at the ward, local government and state levels.

The Kogi congress is as a result of the cancellation of the June 27 ward delegates congresses by the PDP National Working Committee (NWC) due to what it called the participation of a ‘local organising committee’ which it said, is unknown to the constitution of the party and the guidelines.
The PDP in Anambra has been without elected party executives for over 10 years.
Appointed caretaker committees have been running the affairs of the party since then, which has been described as undemocratic.
