Abuja - The ongoing crisis plaguing the ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP) is good for opposition parties, a lawmaker of the Kaduna State House of Assembly said.
Alhaji Muhammad Ali, who represents the Kawo constituency, said opposition parties, especially the All Progressives Party (APC), will take advantage of the crises ahead of the upcoming 2015 general elections.
“What is happening in PDP is a good development for those in the opposition parties, it is left for us in the opposition (sic) to put our heads together in order to wrestle power from the PDP central government come 2015,” Ali said.
Ali also said the PDP had been “hijacked by opportunists” and predicted the party will be splintered further if the crisis ends up in court.
He urged Nigerians to “consolidate on this gain” in order to further democracy in the country.
