The party was reacting to the announcement by the ICPC that it was investigating some former state governors over alleged misconduct while in office.

The party in statement signed by the State Publicity Secretary, Jackson Adebayo, said that a lot of petitions and pieces of evidence had been submitted to the ICPC, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and other anti-graft agencies to assist them in getting to the root of the financial misconduct allegedly perpetrated by Fayemi while in office.

Adebayo said the ICPC must explain to Nigerians, why a governor against whom a lot of petitions had been submitted should be exempted from probe.

He stated that the party is ready to provide more information and facts if called for.
