Abuja - Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), AAbudullahi Jalo is on the verge of being suspended from the party, reports Thisday.
Jalo is accused of issuing a statement on the appointment of Amina Zakari as acting Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), which seemingly contradicts the position of his party.

The National Working Committee (NWC) of the party has asked Jalo to appear before it on Wednesday, July 15, for his unguarded utterances.
In a letter dated July 8, 2015 and signed by the party's National Secretary, Professor Wale Oladipo, the NWC asked Jalo to appear before a special disciplinary panel that would give him a fair hearing on an alleged statement credited to him.
Jalo had recently granted an interview with some journalists distancing himself from the decision of the NWC that demanded for the reversal of the recent appointment of Zakari as acting head of INEC.
