29 October 2015, 14:18

Port Harcourt - The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has dragged the Justices of Rivers State National and State Houses of Assembly Election Tribunal before the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Mahmud Mohammed, reports Vanguard

The party wants Justice Mohammed to intervene in what it described as the present and imminent miscarriage of justice with regard to elections in Rivers State.

In the letter dated October 28, 2015, written by Godwin Obla, counsel to the PDP, the party alleged that it had been denied access to the Certified True Copy ( CTC) of judgments of the National and State Election Petition tribunals that sat in Abuja and annulled the victory of some of its candidates in the state.

He asked for the intervention of the CJN in respect of the CTC of the judgement in the case between Wali Belief Azeru vs. Michael Okechukwu Chinda and Dr. OtoGwung Dressman vs. Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and others.
