Abuja - The National Working Committee (NWC) of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has extended the sale of nomination form nationwide by one week.
“The NWC has extended the sale of nomination form nationwide by one week. The new closing date is Thursday, November 6, 2014,” PDP National Publicity Secretary, Olisa Metuh, said from Abuja.
Metuh added that the NWC directed the Abia State executive committee to oversee the affairs of the ward, and local government until congresses are held.
The working committee noted the expiration of the tenure of the ward and local government executive committee of the party since September 2014.

“By this, the ward and Local Government executive officers of the party cannot participate in the congresses to be held on sat as officers of the party since their tenure has expired,” read a statement.
He said NWC noted that the tenure of the executive of Anambra state chapter expired last Friday and directed the South East Zonal Executive Committee to oversee the affairs of Anambra State Chapter until congresses are held.
The NWC also considered the resignation of Enugu state chairman and directs that the state deputy chairman, as acting chairman should summon a meeting of the state executive of the party to appoint a chairman from the zone where the outgoing chairman hails from pending the conduct of elections to fill the vacancy.
The NWC expects that this exercise should be completed within two weeks.
