Abuja - The hope of former Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC), Nuhu Ribadu and other gubernatorial aspirants on the platform of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in the forthcoming governorship by-election in Adamawa State suffered a temporary setback as the party leadership could not meet to discuss the issue of waivers for them during its National Working Committee meeting on Tuesday.

Apart from Ribadu, other candidates seeking waivers are a former Military Administrator of Lagos State, Buba Marwa and a former governorship candidate of the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria in 2011, Marcus Gundiri, reports, Punch.
The committee did not discuss the issue because the aspirants have not submitted their governorship forms.
The issue would now be discussed once all the aspirants submit their forms.
