Abuja - The ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP)
has slammed former military ruler, General Muhammadu Buhari, for doubting the
President Goodluck Jonathan administration's capabilities to fight terror.
The four-time aspirant to the office of the President
insinuated he will end the scourge if he is elected President.
The party said it was unfortunate that General Buhari, being
a former head of state, had continued to play politics with a serious security challenge which has claimed
the lives of many Nigerians.
He was always trying to use the pains of the people to score
cheap political points at a time all patriotic Nigerians are joining hands with
government to look for solution, Olisa Metuh, National Publicity Secretary of
the party said in a statement on Wednesday.

“Nigerians appreciate the fact that the Federal Government

efforts of our armed forces, who have continued to put their lives on the line
in defence of our nation and her people," he said.
