Abuja—The state chairmen of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) passed a vote of no confidence on the PDP, national chairman, Bamanga Tukur on Tuesday, and asked that he should be removed, Vanguard reports.
Apart from the state chairmen, all but two of the deputies to the members of National Workiing Committee(NWC) were said to have also turned against Tukur.
The chairmen said that the party was not progressing under Tukur’s leadership and pledged to remove him.
Sources at the meeting of the state chairmen said that only the removal of Tukur from office would save the party from implosion.
