Abuja - Some aggrieved Katsina State governorship aspirants of the
People's Democratic Party (PDP) have abandoned the primary elections, staging a
walk out after alleging irregularities.
Those that staged a walk out include relations of late President Umaru Musa Yar'Adua, Gide, and Ahmed, Kabir Barkiya, Umar Tsauri, Nura Khalil, Tukur Jikamshi, Senator Ibrahim Ida, and Nasiru Danmusa.

The walkout however saw one of the contestants, Nashuni, being the only one left at the venue of event, the NYSC, alongside the State Governor, Ibrahim Shema, and other government officials.
Khalil who managed to speak, only said, "We are staging a walk out," and hurriedly entered a vehicle waiting for him.
Senator Ida said, "We are not satisfied with the process of the primary."
He was however cut short by another aspirant, Jikamshi.
The aggrieved aspirants were scheduled to hold a press conference in the evening.
