PDP tasks Nigerians on transformation agenda

31 December 2012, 08:11 -

Abuja - The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Sunday called on Nigerians to keep faith in Federal Government’s agenda of transforming all sectors of the economy.

The National Publicity Secretary of the party, Mr Olisa Metuh, made the call in a statement in Abuja. He said it was regrettable that the opposition parties in the country often resorted to insults and doomsday predictions. He said the failure of opposition parties to suggest alternatives and proffer solutions to challenges, as practiced by credible opposition parties worldwide, showed that they lacked capacity to govern.

"To recycle insults and engage in doomsday predictions is a sign of a confused opposition totally attuned to preferring anarchy as a system of government,’’ he said. Metuh stated that Nigerians acknowledged the efforts and patriotism of security operatives in tackling the country`s security challenges.

"It is shear wickedness and downright unpatriotic not to appreciate and commend men who are battling, at the risk of their own lives, to protect lives and property.’’ He urged opposition parties to console the families of the nation`s fallen heroes and those whose relations died in recent terror attacks in the country.
