PDP warns Okorocha to stay clear of Rivers politics

04 November 2015, 20:43

Port Harcourt - The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Rivers State has warned Gov. Rochas Okorocha of Imo State not to dabble into the affairs of Rivers State, reports Vanguard

The party was responding to Okorocha’s comments that the All Progressives Congress (APC) is hell-bent on taking over Rivers and Akwa Ibom States from the PDP.

The party said Okorocha’s revelation is an eloquent collaboration of a similar recent pronouncement by the APC Chairman in the State, Davies Ikanya that the APC-led federal government cannot afford to lose Rivers State.

Felix Obuah, Chairman of the PDP in Rivers State, in a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Jerry Needam, said the people are prepared to resist any unlawful means to snatch the mandate given to Gov. Nyesom Wike.

He noted that people are more than ready to defend their mandate willingly and fairly given to Wike.

He said Nigerians now know who to hold responsible for any eventual mayhem that may befall the state and defenceless Rivers people.
