PDP warns Tinubu to stop blaming the party for Fashola’s travails

28 August 2015, 17:10

Lagos - The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos State has warned the national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, not to involve the party in the disagreement between himself and former governor of Lagos State, Babatunde Fashola, reports Punch.

The party stated that Tinubu was only trying to divert attention from himself by claiming that the attacks against Fashola was the handiwork of the PDP.

Tunji Shelle, the party’s state Chairman, noted that Tinubu should not drag the PDP into the crisis rocking the APC because the PDP knows nothing about it.

He said the allegations against Fashola did not emanate from the PDP but the website of the APC-led state government.

He added that Fashola’s problems might be caused by those he has offended in his party and those who feel threatened with his closeness to President Muhammadu Buhari, who might give him an appointment.
