Patigi - The Patigi Local Government in Kwara announced a budget of N1.96 billion for 2013 fiscal year.
The Chairman of the council, Alhaji Mohammed Tauheed, made the announcement in Patigi while presenting the budget to the legislative council.
According to him, N485 million is earmarked for recurrent expenditure while N611 million is meant for capital expenditure.
The chairman said the capital vote would cater for issues in the economic and social development and administration.
Tauheed explained that the proposals were based on the needs and expectations of the people of the area.
He said the "budget of consolidation" was aimed at improving the wellbeing of the people.
The chairman said the budget would be financed through the council's internally generated revenue and monthly allocation from the Federation Account.
