Abuja - Following widespread rumours that the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) may suspend the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aminu Tambuwal, and subsequently move for his removal as the Speaker; PDP lawmakers are already eyeing the seat, reports New Telegraph.
The leadership of the party is expected to meet on Thursday to deliberated on what action to take against Tambuwal, who has been accused of hobnobbing with the All progressives Congress (APC).

The race to succeed Tambuwal should the party goes ahead to suspend him has already divided the PDP lawmakers into two camps.
There is a camp which believed that the position should reverted back to the South- West in line with the party zoning arrangement. This camp is pushing for either the Majority Leader of the House, Mulikat Akande-Adeola or Muraina Ajibola.
The bulk of members of the other camp are lawmakers from the North-West where the present Speaker comes from. Those lined up to take over from the Speaker are are Farouk Lawan, Bashir Adamu , Safiyanu Ubale, Umar Bature , Bello Matawalle and Gambo Musa.
