Lagos – The International Press Centre (IPC) is promoting active media engagement and active citizens’ participation in the electoral process ahead of 2015 general polls.
The organisations announced it had scheduled a media tweet conference with the theme,“2015 Elections: Addressing fair and equitable media access for parties and candidates.”
The media tweet conference will take place on August 11 at the IPC headquarters in Ogba, Lagos.
Director of the centre, Lanre Arogundade, said the tweet conference would be held monthly.
He said Professor Lai Oso, Dean, School of Communications, Lagos State University (LASU), would be the lead speaker at the event, which would be interactive as there would be a question and answer session by the participants physically present as well as following on social media channels.
The United Nations Development Programme is supporting the initiative.
