Protest over plot to withdraw Isiaka’s governorship ticket

Abeokuta - Scores of protesters from the Peoples Democratic Party in Ogun on Monday stormed the secretariat of the party in Abeokuta to protest the alleged plot to withdraw the governorship ticket won by Gboyega Isiaka , reports Premium Times.

The protesters armed with with placards, warned the leadership of the party not to withdraw the mandate which produced Gboyega Isiaka as the party’s governorship candidate  in the 2015 gubernatorial election in the state.

Prominent member of the party who led the protesters and spoke at the venue were a former minister of national planning, Ebun Oyagbola; a former deputy governor of the state, Salmot Badru; a leader of the party from Ogun-East senatorial district, Leke Adedoyin, Iyabo Apampa, and the state party secretary, Semiu Sodipo.
