Ribadu may emerge PDP Chairman

13 July 2015, 12:45

Abuja - The former Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Nuhu Ribadu, may emerge as the next Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), reports Leadership.

The leaders of the party are zeroing in on Ribadu because of the public perception that he has integrity to match that of President Muhammadu Buhari who is now the leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Leaders in party believed that the party lost the presidential election to Buhari because of his anti-corruption credentials.

Ribadu is also believed to have a good understanding of the inner workings of the APC, having been a presidential candidate of the defunct Action Congress Nigeria (ACN) in the 2011 presidential election.

ACN is part the parties that merged to become APC.

Ribadu was the party’s governorship candidate in Adamawa State in the last elections.
