Port Harcourt - The Rivers State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has said it would not zone the governorship ticket of the party to any particular ethnic group or senatorial district,
The party took the decision in order to allow all qualified membesr of the party to contest and allow the best candidate to emerge as its flag bearer in the 2015 governorship election, reports National Mirror.

The party in a communique after its executive council meeting on Tuesday said it will provide a level-playing field for every member seeking to contest any elective position in the party.
Felix Obuah, State PDP Chairman, said the party was in support of the re-election of President Goodluck Jonathan in 2015.
