Port Harcourt - The Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Rivers State, Dame Gesila Khan has denied rumours that she has been transferred out of the state, reports Thisday.
Khan stated this on Monday in Port Harcourt against the backdrop of statements that she had been redeployed because of the alleged role she played in the last general elections in the state.

She admitted that the INEC headquarters had sent three administrative secretaries to the state and but insisted that the secretaries were to assist her in making materials available to parties that would require them at the on-going elections tribunal.
She said she has no regrets whatsoever serving in that capacity in the state.
Khan had been under heavy criticism by the state chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) which accused her of being partisan in the conduct of the April governorship election in the state.
