Port harcout - The Rivers State National Assembly Election Petition Tribunal has dismissed two petitions of the All Progressives Congress (APC) against the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), reports Thisday.
The tribunal in its ruling on Tuesday ruled that the APC candidates that filed the petitions were not qualified to contest the March 28, 2015 National Assembly election.

The tribunal presided by Justice Adamu Gumba also ruled that the petitioners did not give the required 21 days notice of primary election to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in line with Paragraph 85(1) of Electoral Act.
Subsequently, the tribunal upheld the election of the PDP candidates in the election.
