Abuja - Senate President, David Mark, has denied the widespread statement suggesting the postponement of the 2015 general elections, as credited to him by the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The rejection is contained in a statement signed by Kola Ologbondiyan, Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Senate President, in Abuja.
“I did not call for the forthcoming general election to be postponed,” Mark denied.

He denied making such a speech at plenary on September 16.
Mark recalled that in the course of debate in the chambers on that day, he maintained that the issue of insurgency, which was the subject of the debate, must be addressed now and not election matters.
The Senate President thus cautioned APC to desist from misleading the public.
