Abuja - The Nigerian Senate on Thursday deferred the screening of ministerial nominees yet to be screened to Tuesday, 20 October.
There are only two ministerial nominees among the first batch of nominees yet to be screened.
They are the immediate past governor of Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi and the Oyo State nominee, Wahab Shittu.
In a tweet via its Twitter handle @NGRSenate, the Senate said there would be no ministerial screening on Thursday.
The screening of Amaechi was deferred after the inability of the Senate Committee on Ethics, Privileges and Public Petitions to submit its report on a petition against him.
The committee could not meet on Tuesday and Wednesday following the late adjournment of plenary.
It would be recalled that on Wednesday the screening of Amaechi was deferred to Thursday due to the same reason.
