Port Harcourt — Senator Magnus Abe was allegedly shot twice with rubber bullets in the chest at a pro- Amaechi rally in Rivers State, according to Vanguard.
According to Vanguard there were conflicting reports of who shot the senator, Police denied shooting the senator, also there was an allegation that the Minister of State for Education, Nyesom Wike, directed the police to disrupt the rally, which the minister denied.
The Chief of Staff, Government House, Port Harcourt, Tony Okocha, who says he was at the rally claims that the senator was shot and fired teargas was fired at them.
Okocha also said the senator was flown to London for treatment.
