The senators, who are mainly from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), stated that they would stick to the rules concerning the appointment of ministers, noting that one of the conditions is that anybody nominated as a minister must be subjected to screening and approval of the Senate.
Senator Mao Ohuabunwa, PDP, Abia North, who spoke on behalf of other PDP senators, said they are not considering waving any rule.
He said whoever is advising Buhari to become the oil minister, is not advising him rightly.
