Seven governors boycott PDP Governors’ Forum meeting

Yenagoa - Seven governors of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Tuesday boycotted the meeting of  the PDP Governors’ Forum in Bayelsa State, reports NewsDay.

The PDP currently has 13 governors elected under its platform.

Those who shunned the meeting include Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti, Nyesom Wike of Rivers, Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom,  Ifeanyi Ugwuany of Enugu, Ben Ayade of Cross River, Darius Ishaku of Taraba and Ibrahim Dankwambo of Gombe.

The governors did not turn out at the meeting and neither did they send any representatives.

The meeting was only attended by two governors and four deputy governors.

The two governors were Olusegun Mimiko of Ondo State, who is the Chairman of the PDP Governors’ Forum and the host, Seriake Dickson, while the deputies that represented their governors were those of Delta, Kingsley Otuaro; Abia, Chris Akomas; Ebonyi, Kelechi Igwe and Kogi, Yomi Awoniyi.
