Abuja - The Ministerial nominee from Sokoto
State, Aisha Abubakar, has met regional leaders of the All Progressives
Congress (APC) in the wake of a growing number of petitions against her at the
Malam Imam Imam, spokesman to Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, confirmed the meeting
between the ministerial nominee and party stakeholders.
Imam said Tambuwal, National Vice Chairman of the APC in
North West, Inuwa Abdulkadir, state executive committee members of the party,
members of national and state assemblies and leaders of the party in the 23
local government areas of the state attended the just-ended meeting that was
held at the Presidential Lodge in Sokoto.
The governor said the gathering was convened to brief the
stakeholders the outcome of his meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari.

"As loyal and respected members of the party, it is
only wise to give the members feedback and to admit the nominee into their fold
for further consultations," said Tambuwal.
