APC berates Buhari over ethnic-based appointments

Lagos - South-West states’ Chairmen of the All Progressives Congress (APC), have berated the pattern of appointments by President Buhari since he assumed office on May 29, reports Today .

The chairmen noted that all the appointments Buhari has made so far had ethnic slant.

In a joint statement they issued on Monday, the Chairmen stated that aside the appointment of Femi Adsina as Buhari’s spokesperson, all the other appointments so far made by Buhari have been from the core North and all of them northern Muslims.

They urged Buhari to retrace his steps to avoid the negative reaction of people from the zone.

The Chairmen also vowed to resist any attempt by some elements in the party to humiliate the APC National Leader, Bola Tinubu.

The statement was signed by Henry Ajomale (Lagos), Gboyega Famoodun (Osun), Roqeeb Adeniji (Ogun), Akin Oke (Oyo) Olajide Awe (Ekiti) and Isaac Kekemeke, (Ondo).
