Lagos - Some politicians in the South-West geo-political zone have endorsed the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) , John Odigie-Oyegun, amid some tensions characterising the party.
The leaders praised him for cherishing the mood of the people and using the power of the office of the national chairman to promote the interests of the Yoruba people.
According to Chairman of the Yoruba Front (YF), Ganiyu Alao, at the end of an emergency meeting in Surulere, Lagos, the leaders expressed profound satisfaction with Odigie-Oyegun’s leadership for the mature way in which the House of Representatives issue was resolved in favour of both Gbajabiamila and the Yoruba nation.

They commended President Muhammadu Buhari for demonstrating open-mindedness in the running of the party and the country.
“We are happy with the recent development in the House of Representatives. It's more about making the party work and where everybody's voice matters,” the leaders said.
Alao said the leaders were happy with Yakubu Dogara’s acceptance of Femi Gbajabiamila as Majority Leader of the House of Representatives and the contributions made by the national chairman of the country’s ruling party.
They appealed to Nigerians to team up with Buhari in the discharge of his responsibilities.
