Rano - The Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly, Alhaji Kabir Alhassan, on Tuesday said the legislature would impact positively on the life of the people of the state.
He gave the assurance when he paid a thank you visit to the people of Rano, Bunkure and Kibiya Local Government Areas of the state.
The speaker said the visit was necessary due to the massive support he received from the people of the area during his electioneering campaign.
He said the visit was based on the subsequent support they give him which led to his victory.
The speaker said he was also in the area to seek for their advice and support in discharging his responsibilities as the speaker and member representing Rano.

"As your representative, I shall remain resolute and focused to ensure continuous delivery of dividend of democracy through passage of sound and beneficial laws and resolutions.
"Our commitment to higher standard of legislation remain paramount in the conduct of affairs of the assembly and will be targeted toward improving the well being of our people," he said.
Responding, the Emir of Rano, Alhaji Abubakar Tafida, stressed the need for leaders at all levels to always uphold the virtue of honesty and justice in discharging their responsibilities.
He said that upholding such virtue would go a long way in ensuring credible leadership.
The Emir hailed the election of Alhassan, as the speaker, saying that people of the three local government areas were proud of him.
