Abuja - The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has faulted the criticism of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on the on the person and office of the President, reports Thisday.
The party said it will no longer condone sustained vicious attacks on the person of President Goodluck Jonathan, the institutions of democracy and the unity of the nation.
Olisa Metuh, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, who disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday, said the ruling party will no longer fold its hands while the desperate desire of the APC for power poses a threat to the very survival of democracy and the nation.

He said the PDP has been watching carefully as the rank and file of the APC, the governors, party leaders, presidential hopefuls and even sidekicks run amok, competing in a heavily subjective castigation of President Goodluck Jonathan with incendiary utterances, signposting its plans for the dastardly when it loses in next year’s general elections.
He noted that PDP's decent political campaigns focusing on its achievements at various levels of government should have served as a pointer to the APC on the need to maintain political decorum and primacy of national interest in the build-up to the forthcoming elections.
