Abuja - The Acting Inspector General of Police, Suleiman Abba has said that the withdrawal of police personnel attached to the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aminu Tambuwal was because he dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the All Progressives Congress (APC), reports NewsDay.
In a terse statement on Thursday, Abba said Tambuwal’s security details were withdrawn since he had defected from the PDP to the APC.

Abba speaking through the Force Public Relations Officer, Emmanuel Ojukwu, said he acted based on the provision of section 68(1)(g) of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as amended.
Abba, however, did not expatiate on his interpretation of the constitutional provision he quoted.
