Lokoja - Ahead of the November 21 governorship election in Kogi State, no fewer than 12 700 members of the All Progressives Congress in the state have defected to the Peoples Democratic Party, reports Vanguard.
The defectors were mainly from Ofu Local Government Area, the home base of the candidate of the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) Abubakar Audu.

The defectors were received into the PDP during the campaign rally of Gov. Idris Wada to the local government.
The defectors said they decided to dump the APC for the PDP because of transformation agenda of Governor Wada.
Speaking at the rally, the governor assured the people that he will do more for them if elected on November 21.
