Owerri - Three political parties and their governorship candidates have withdrawn their petitions challenging the election of Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State in the April 11 governorship poll, reports Nigerian Pilot.
The political parties and the candidates that have opted out of the governorship election petitions tribunal proceedings include the National Conscience Party, (NCP), Chigozie Ewunonu; African Peoples Alliance (APA), Charles Nnadi and Mega Progressive Peoples Party (MPPP), Pastor Anselem Igbokwe.

The party said the took the decision in the overall interest of the state.
The tribunal subsequently struck out the three petitions.
